Winter...Love

You have to love winter. It's cold and there is snow...that's about it.
I got in my first ride since iceman today. it was nice I wish I had a camera because I was missing some prime pictures from the Winona area. I loved being on the bike today it was like the first ride on dirt that you get of the season.
My agenda for this winter is simple ride, work out, run, ski and board when I need something different. My diet will be addressed along with a diet on my bike. Looking to get that down in weight and myself down also. I feel both are important and the diet for myself will be easier then the bike believe it or not. Learn not to over indulge on the wrong food or any food for that matter, and make healthier food choices...less Beer, that's the hard one.

Last race of the Season...last win in sport

Well, the weekend was a success. First in my age and fastest sport racer. The guys from Wisconsin were fast in all there classes. Aristotle was forth in his first expert race, three or four guys in the top ten in pro, don did well with a forth I believe and a hand full of other.
My races was more of a mind game. I was about forth wheel off the line and by the time I crossed the road thats near the start, I had a gap that only grew. A little scared, to hard on the start and a bonk at the end, or was I just that ready for the race. It turned out OK. I keep the wheels spinning and ended the race with a 8.5 minute gap on second. The course was fast.
I have to give thanks to many people for the season and this race. Mom and dad putting up with my schedule and helping me through the season, spring street sport for getting me setup on my 29er and getting me my 09 frame in a time of great need (one week before the iceman), and Ian Standford for the great set of wheels that I rode for iceman. Watch for these wheels for next year if they come out to the market. No, pics yet but they should come.
